About the Indiana Center for Parish Nursing
The Indiana Center for Parish Nursing (ICPN) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to build and sustain healing ministries in a variety of faith-based communities throughout Indiana. Parish nurses, or faith community nurses, are registered nurses who work with a congregation to promote the connection between health and the mind, body and spirit.
The Indiana Center for Parish Nursing fosters:
- Collaboration with faith communities
- Partnerships with health care organizations
- Health ministry for public, faith-based and nursing communities
- Consultation on creating, sustaining and evaluating health related ministry programs
- Data collection and evaluation of faith-based community nursing activities and outcomes
- Sharing of best practices
